The historic town of Nundle is located 60 kilometres east of Tamworth at the start of the Fossickers Way Touring Route. It is surrounded by picturesque countryside of fertile river flat farms and rich grazing lands. An old gold mining town from the 1850s to 1880s, there are ruins of old mine workings and equipment throughout the valley.
